MTA/Mail-Hub is a wrapper for ESMTP enabled mail relays that need plain text authentication.

This perl script acts as wrapper around an ESMTP enabled mail relay that need plain text authentication. MTA/Mail-Hub is intended to be used from ESMTP/SMTP servers and clients that can't do plain text authentication. This script is enabling these servers and clients to do ESMTP plain text authentication.

I'm using MTA/Mail-Hub to enable a Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 to relay thru relay.t-dsl-business.de that uses plain text authentication. To use it I have MTA/Mail-Hub running on a Linux server and have setup the Exchange Server to forward all outgoing mail to this Linux server. MTA/Mail-Hub on my Linux server is forwarding all received mail to the relay of the ISP. Incoming mail, i.e. mail from the ISP to us, is not handled from MTA/Mail-Hub.
